Artist Details
Mark Fox was born 1963 in Cincinnati, OH. He received his BFA in 1985 from Washington University and his MFA in 1988 from Stanford University. Fox has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, including at The Detroit Institute of Art, Detroit, MI (1998); Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum, Santa Barbara, CA (2005); Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY (2009); and Norton Museum of Art, West Palm Beach, FL (2016). He has also participated in many group exhibitions, including Walk to Zet & Spiders from Zet, Foundation and Center for Contemporary Art, Prague, Czech Republic (2002); Elements of Nature: Selections from the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation, Carnegie Art Museum, Oxnard, CA (2010); Art for Art’s Sake, Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art, Pepperdine University, Malibu, CA (2013); and Drawing: The Beginning of Everything, Albright-Knox Gallery, Buffalo, NY (2017). Fox currently lives and works in New York City, NY.
