Become a Docent
Imagine engaging the public in a dialogue about contemporary art. Imagine being able to guide children and adults through important exhibitions in an amazing building. Imagine being able to lead discussions on trends and movements in art. Imagine yourself at the CAC! Contemporary Arts Center docents provide educational and entertaining experiences for a diverse audience, connecting people of all ages with the art, ideas and issues of our time.
Enrollment for Docent Training Now Open:
Become a CAC volunteer docent! Training starts at the end of January. As a docent-in-training you will learn about contemporary art, the CAC's mission and the iconic architecture of the Rosenthal Center. You will learn various teaching and touring techniques and explore ways to connect people to each other and the world through contemporary art. As a CAC Docent you will give tours; be part of a tight social network of other docents; continue learning about CAC exhibitions; receive invitations to social activities including parties and trips, free CAC publications and a one-level upgrade to your CAC Membership.
