Ticketing for THE EVENT—a street party benefiting the Contemporary Arts Center on May 22—opens to the public Saturday, May 1. CAC Members have the opportunity to pre-order tickets before May 1. Space is limited so order early to ensure your spot at the party and to avoid long lines. In addition, each time you purchase a ticket to THE EVENT, you are entered into a drawing to win the sold-out Shepard Fairey print CAC Rise Above.
First drawing: May 1 (when THE EVENT tickets go on sale to the public)

Shepard Fairey has created a ‘fine art’ version of the sold-out print he made for the Contemporary Arts Center (CAC Rise Above). Part of a select body of new work, Fairey created this piece for May Day, the highly anticipated and much hyped finale show for Deitch Projects in New York. Longtime contemporary art dealer Jeffrey Deitch chose Fairey to be his gallery’s closing show. Deitch is shuttering his fabled gallery to assume his new role as Director of LA MoCA (Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles) in June 2010.
